The reports that make up the project "Voice without fear" show a panorama of our daily machismo through the speech of courageous women. These stories of psychological and physical abuse for a long time had to be kept in a place reserved for oblivion. Even when overcome, there was a fear of making them public in exchange for surviving and preserving themselves, avoiding social judgments or simply maintaining appearances along with sanity. They could not even be articulated as narratives that could be heard. But in gaining a voice, private dramas proved to be much more common than we imagined; in breaking the barriers of systematic silencing, the processes of overcoming and reinventing themselves through these women were also evident. Sorority is exercised by encouraging complaints, in the practice of listening and welcoming, and also in the act of exposing other women to common pains.

In this way, each episode is strengthened when shared: the complaints it contains can be an effective way to contribute to women who are in the same situation at the moment. That in illuminating what was hidden, empathy for example may have the power to inhibit and to some extent halt the frightening normality with which things of this nature occur and are socially legitimized; in this sense, the documentary is yet another attempt to strengthen the denunciation of the agents of violence through the courage of these women to reveal their intimate traumas, and where they were finally able to relieve themselves of the burden of carrying painful memories alone, and who otherwise would not come to afloat.
