The Collective

Coletivo Ponto Art was born in 2011 with the purpose of producing shows, developing affirmative artistic and cultural actions, since all the members are part of the group that are minorized in the scale of social disadvantages.

The “Bettween the lines” solo was the first action and was contemplated in a public notice by the Government of the State of Bahia and addresses the psychological, emotional and sexual violence that women suffer. In 2016, Coletivo added another product to its portfolio to add to Salvador's artistic manifestations, the “Digital Magazine Ponto Art” , an independent project, built in collaboration with artists from the city and aired every 3 months. A space where artists and admirers can get to know and share their work, ideas, opinions and increase the collaborative network. The magazine has already had over 120 people involved in different areas of activity, in addition to the Ponto Art team and more than 12,000 people have accessed the publications.

In 2017, the webseries “Voice without fear” was launched on the networks, inspired by the solo “Entrelinhas” and the documentary of the same name is being worked on in parallel. In 2018, the workshop “Resilience of the body-history” became part of the collective's repertoire of artistic works. The 2nd season of the web series "Voice without fear" is scheduled for release in November 2019.
