

Casa Preta Espaço de Cultura, since 2009 in continuous activity, is built today by 17 people who manage 8 initiatives composed of activities such as construction, rent, loan and storage of scenographic materials, sound and lighting, audio studio, management 4 small scenic spaces (Backyard, Window Theater, Terrace Space and Ivana Chastinet Room), home to 2 artistic groups that promote a variety of artistic and socio-cultural projects such as plays, concerts, competitions, publications, training workshops , exhibitions and performances, 1 community library, 1 professional theater course for young people from 16 to 22 years old and 1 political organization that aims to discuss the topic of drugs from the perspective of racism.

Casa Preta works as a collective management space. As it is a big house with artists, groups and initiatives focused on the arts, social mobilization and training, each floor has its own management, while the house is also organized as a whole.
