We are a network of friends, young people (at least in their impulses and attitude), students, teachers, researchers, of different nationalities, from different professions and fields of knowledge, who seek to meet and work around the need for dialogue and integration of the peoples and cultures of Latin America, investing in letters, art, education and life.

The PachaMãe Collective since 2016, the year in which the project was born and begins to develop effectively, carries out some actions: artistic-cultural interventions, both at UFBA and in some cultural spaces in Salvador. With a house located in the Community of Av. Da Constellation in Monte Serrat, Cidade Baixa, it has a beautiful view of the Bay of Todos os Santos, consisting of two floors and a terrace that are interconnected. The house promotes various art education activities to enable knowledge and exchange of Latin American cultural.

 

1 ° floor

Multipurpose space for reception, accommodation, artistic residency, workshops, tutoring, children's library and Pachateca, kitchen and bar.

2nd Meeting Room

It has a library with diverse collection, speaker, TV for showing films. Workshops, courses, therapies, soirees, parties, meetings, etc ...

 

3rd terrace

Space for activities after sunset, such as artistic presentations accompanied by a bar and culinary service.

The pachamãe house functions as a collective management space. It is a self-sustainable space maintained by the collaboration and specific tasks that each member develops for its maintenance. It has a diverse team of professionals from different fields, students, teachers, researchers, musicians, artists, etc.

 

 

Camila Mora Melo: Psychologist, art educator, language teacher. Manager of the pacamãe house.

 

Dani Velásquez Romero: Professor at the Department of Romance Letters at the Federal University of Bahia. General advisor of the PachaMãe project.

 

Juan Ignacio Brizuela: Cultural producer and financial administrator.

 

Valfrido Morais: Professor of social sciences, tambourine. It develops in the house courses for school reinforcement, entrance exams, preparation for Enem, pedagogical activities and cultural productions.

 

 

Patricia Atheides: Spanish teacher, school coordinator, clown, artist.

 

 

Sueli Fontes: PhD student in letters. Collaborates with social networks and the development of educational projects.
